Congratulations to the Class of 2008!
Thurgood Marshall Academy held its fourth commencement ceremony on Thursday, June 12, 2008, at THEARC in southeast Washington, DC. Salutatorian Christol Flowers and Valedictorian James Watkins spoke to a standing room only crowd and charged their classmates to continue in their academic endeavors and to work towards reaching their full potential.
The 2008 Commencement speaker, John Parham, Deputy Superintendent, encouraged students to get the most they can out of their college experiences. Mr. Parham advised the graduates to work hard, have fun, get involved, and bring their knowledge and enthusiasm back to the DC community.
On behalf of the entire Thurgood Marshall Academy community, congratulations to the Class of 2008 - we wish you the very best and look forward to learning of your future successes!
