Ten members of the EnvironMentors, a program offered through Thurgood Marshall Academy's Green Club, visited Morgan State University's Estuarine Research Center at Jefferson Patterson Park in St. Leonard, Maryland. While at the Center, the students went out on the Patuxent River, studying live oysters, testing the salinity of the water, studying the river sediment, trawling for fish, and a few lucky students were able to steer the boat. At the end of the trip, the students were able to place a baby blue crab into the water tables at the Center for futher study.
