Thurgood Marshall Academy's Debate Team, under the direction of Marielys Garcia, John London, and Rebecca Jones, competed in its first tournament at McKinley Technical High School on Saturday, November 1. After four rounds of debates, Thurgood Marshall Academy took second place - with 12 victories throughout the day - and finished two points behind tournament winner McKinley Tech.
