TMA Named "Most Improved" by Great Schools/Business Week

Thurgood Marshall Academy was named DC's "Most Improved" school in a recent report by Great Schools/Business Week. In the study, Great Schools compared grade level test scores from the most recent year available to the year before to see which schools showed the greatest improvement.

's Drama Club did a wonderful job in their presentation of the Emancipation Proclamation to honor President Abraham Lincoln’s 200^th birthday at the reopening of the newly renovated Ford's Theatre. The students were the first student group to present. The celebration also included a wreath-laying ceremony and a concert featuring

's favorite music played on Civil War-era instruments.
